Denmark
I thought I’d add a follow-up to my last blog. I found about 25 of these surveys, almost all ranking Denmark #1. Many of them contributed it to their status as a highly socialized country. They have the highest taxes in the world at over 70% and have almost every major necessity free. There is probably some serious truth to that. Yet still, I think it goes a long way beyond that. This article illustrates some reasons for that nicely. It is more of a general state of mind, than anything. Then again, I really don’t know what I’m talking about.
